Kyle McCoy New Eagle Scout at Crystal Lake Troop 127

Boy Scout Troop 127, Crystal Lake, inducted Kyle McCoy as an Eagle Scout at an Eagle Court of Honor event December 29th.  A large crowd turned out to recognize Kyle and his 11 years of Advancement, from Cub Scouts though the Boy Scouts of America.

To become an Eagle Scout, the young man must earn a total of 21 merit badges - 12 that are required.  Kyle's Eagle Scout project required that he plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious institution, any school, or the community. The project must benefit an organization other than Boy Scouting.

Kyle's Eagle Project was to design and build an eight foot red cedar bench for prayer and reflection at the St. Mary statue in front of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Crystal Lake.
