Local Breaking Dawn Reviews from Midnight Screening

Joe Cicero and Tina Bree from Star 105.5 head over to Regal Cinemas to get local movie goers reactions to the new "Breaking Dawn" movie!

Tis' the season — for big movie openings! The much anticipated "Breaking Dawn" from the Twilight series hit theaters at 12:01 AM on Friday morning the 18th and we were there to get the very first reviews from die hards. Tina Bree and me headed out about 1AM to setup and wait for movie goers at Regal Cinemas on Route 14 in Crystal Lake to stream out of the sixteen theaters the movie was being shown in.

We knew it would be glowing reviews. We expected to hear gushing over the wedding scene and the love story. What we truly did not expect is to hear that there was a young lady who actually passed out during the "birth scene" in the movie. You'll hear some girls that were in the theater with that patron (who was ok as paramedics showed up and just checked her over) by clicking here. Note to parents who's youngsters may not be ready for a scene that sounds pretty bloody and intense. Remember the video of birth we saw in school? Imagine what Hollywood does with the birth of a vampire!

You'll also hear from local students and parents that not only used this movie opening as a chance to escape reality and get caught up in the drama of vampires vs. werewolves but also to bond and be together. That is the "sappy" sub plot to this whole thing. It's a chance for people to be together and paint their nails with movie tributes (see the attached picture from a Star 105.5 listener) and wear matching t-shirts.

Now if you could only have off the Friday after to recoup and recover from being up all night!
