Prescription Drug Discount Card or Scam? Be Forewarned!

I received a call from a client who received a "United States Discount Prescription" card. It seems legitimate, but when I looked into it, I discovered this isn't what it seems.

This card is being offered by a private company owned by parent company ScriptRelief. Their purpose seems to be selling your information to third parties. Their on-line privacy policy reads, “We may share your information with other companies whose products and services may be of interest to you. These third parties may contact you as part of their marketing efforts."

A Portland news investigative report dug deeper and their report is here:

Many companies will try to capitalize on the flurry of insurance activity. Protect yourself and your personal information by asking questions and adopting a healthy sense of skepticism.
