Tips for Thanksgiving Travel

Holiday travel may be a bit hairy due to the weather, but the Weather Channel and other sites offer advice on traveling.

The Weather Channel is advising to be careful on the roads this holiday week as Winter Storm Boreas hits the east coast. The storm may cause delays and dangerous situations on the roads, including the Midwest.

The Weather Channel’s Winter Storm Central lets travelers chat with meteorologists to get information about driving conditions and what roads to avoid all together.

According to the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) website, more than 1.9 million passengers are expected at O’Hare and Midway International Airports over the eight-day Thanksgiving travel period beginning today and ending on Tuesday, December 3.
