Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs to $425 Million

With no tickets matching this past Tuesday's drawing, the Mega Millions game has soared to $425 million.

Tis the season of dreams and wish lists.

Someone's wish could come true tonight depending how the numbers fall.

The Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to $425 million, according to the Illinois Lottery. No ticket matched all five winning numbers and the Mega Ball number in this past Tuesday's drawing.

As a result, the Mega Millions jackpot rolled over again.

The next Mega Millions drawing is tonight at 10 p.m. (Friday, Dec. 13). Tickets, which cost $1, can be purchased online ($5 minimum purchase online).

The increased jackpot is the largest jackpot since last year’s $656 million Mega Millions jackpot, which was split between winners in Kansas, Maryland and Redbud, Illinois.

This past October, the Mega Millions jackpot was upgraded to include larger, faster growing jackpots; second-place prizes of at least $1million; and better odds of winning smaller cash prizes, according to the Illinois Lottery.
