Community Corner

Community Harvest 2010

Community Harvest 2010 is the Crystal Lake Chamber's 20th annual fall food drive, which benefits the Crystal Lake Food Pantry and the Crystal Lake Jaycees' "Share-A-Christmas" program. Both of these organizations support local families in need.  The Community Harvest committee would like to encourage families, scout troops, church groups, organizations and individuals to join them on Thanksgiving morning.  Stop by 6308 Northwest Highway (in the shopping center across from Crystal Lake Buick/GMC) and lend a hand on Thursday, November 25th between 8:00 am and 11:00 am.  Help is needed to sort and pack the thousands of items collected throughout the fall season. There will be plenty of delicious Country Donuts and beverages to start off the morning.  Kids can get creative at the coloring table, and even visit with Santa! The festive holiday atmosphere is a fabulous way to kick off your holiday season -
by giving back to others.

Non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, and baby care items will be gratefully accepted on Thanksgiving morning as well.  A convenient drive-through drop-off lane will ensure quick service for on-the-go donations.

We hope to see YOU on Thanksgiving morning!
