Wasted Plains Rock & Roll Revival
Saturday, August 17, Wasted Plains Rock & Roll Revival festival, “one of the best local summer festivals,” according to Innerview Magazine, takes place at the VFW Post 5040 just off the Woodstock Square at 240 N. Throop St. In its third year, the fest’s headliner is Portland’s Hockey, plus local talent Cousin Dud, Brother George, Blue Ribbon Glee Club, Mutts, Roy Ivy Band, Will Phalen & the Stereo Addicts, Cameron McGill, the Bingers, Quasar Wut Wut, Swimm, Stolen Airplane, Meet Us Halfway and Robbed Avis. The outdoor fest will also include HoneyCraft indie craft market, and beer and food trucks. Tickets for fest, which runs noon to 2 a.m., are $18 online or $20 at the door. A round-trip party bus is available from Reggies (Chicago) for $25. The festival benefits the VFW and Environmental Defenders of McHenry County.
