"King of Love" A Children's Christmas Cantata

"King of Love" A Children's Christmas Cantata
First Congregational Church, Crystal Lake, Illinois
9:00 am and 10:45 am

The public is invited to attend. The production will feature a 30-member cast and the
2nd-8th grade Cherub, Carol and Chancel Choirs.

The cantata, written by Ron and Betty Nelson, follows
the innkeeper’s family as they prepare for the travelers coming from all
throughout the Roman Empire. When a Samaritan family with a sick child asks to
have a room they are denied because the innkeeper is sure the other guest would
not stay in the same house as a Samaritan family. They are given a small room
in the back of the inn by the stable. As the inn fills up, more weary travelers
appear and the Christmas miracle unfolds in a very beautiful story of love and
acceptance.
