Community Corner

Community Harvest

Community Harvest is the combined efforts of The Crystal Lake Chamber, Crystal Lake Jaycees, and the Crystal Lake Food Pantry, as well as numerous churches, businesses and individuals throughout the community, to collect food and funds during the fall season.

All donations, both food and monetary, are used to benefit clients of the Crystal Lake Food Pantry as well as the Jaycees’ Share a Christmas program.

On Thanksgiving morning, with the help of hundreds of community volunteers, all of the donations collected are sorted and boxed for future use by the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. The Community Harvest committee would like to encourage businesses, families, scout troops, church groups, other organizations and individuals to join them on Thanksgiving morning.

Join us Thursday, November 22nd between 8:00am and 11:00am at Crystal Lake Plaza, Unit 2D (Near Toute 14 & Keith Ave.) to lend a hand with sorting and packing the thousands of donated food items collected throughout the fall season.

We hope to see YOU on Thanksgiving morning!
