PHOTOS: Halloween Walks in Cary, Fox River Grove

Saturday proved to be the perfect day for trick-or-treaters to dress in their 2012 costumes and parade through Cary and Fox River Grove's business districts.

The annual Halloween trick-or-treating walks in Cary and Fox River Grove were a huge success on Saturday.

A plethora of Batmen, Spidermen, princesses, witches, pirates and more ventured out for candy, a petting zoo, games and a bouncy house.

Approximately 600 costumed kids, accompanied by their parents, turned out for the morning event in downtown Cary.

Another 350 children attended the afternoon Trick-or-Treat Walk at the Stone Hill Shopping Center in Fox River Grove, said Suzanne Corr, executive director of the Cary Grove Area Chamber Commerce.

The chamber has been hosting the Cary Halloween walk for 14 years, and added the Fox River Grove walk a few years back, she said.

"These events are always great," Corr said. "The Cary turnout is always overwhelming - we get so many kids for that no matter the weather. Both of these events are a tribute to the local businesses who like to get involved with the community."
