Pedestrian Struck By Car, Airlifted to Hospital

The Cary Fire Protection District responded to a motor vehicle crashing around 7:50 a.m. on Friday morning.

A pedestrain was struck by a car at the intersection of Georgetown Dr. and West Main Street in Cary early Friday morning.

The Cary Fire Protection District was dispatched to the scene at 7:47 a.m. according to a fire protection press release.

After evaluating the patient, firefighters requested the FFL helicopter to transport the patient to a level one trauma center, the release said.

The adult male patient was transported in critical condition by the FFL helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

The accident is still under investigation by the Cary Police Department.
