ComEd: 99% Restoration by Late Friday

The hardest hit northern region, which includes Algonquin, still has 125,000 homes without power this morning.

For residents who are still without power following a short, violent windstorm, power has been restored to more than 70 percent of ComEd's customers, but it still may take a few more days to get everyone back on the line.

ComEd expects to have power restored for 90 percent of its customers by Thursday at midnight, and have a 99 percent restoration rate by midnight on Friday.

As of 8 a.m. July 13, ComEd has restored power to 675,000 customers.
