Cary Library Summer Reading Prorams Nears End

The summer reading program is set to end at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 30.

The Cary Library has seen record registrations for their summer reading program in all reading categories, including adult, teen and children this year.

"Unfortunately, not everyone who registers completes the program, or even makes it to the 'halfway' point," Alice M. Majka youth services assistant for the Cary Library said. "This is the last chance to “get reading” and earn a prize or two along the way."

Patrons are eligible to receive the “halfway” and “completion” prizes no later than closing July 30; a few lucky patrons will have their names drawn to win a grand prize.

Reading program members will still be able to receive a “Grand Prize” after July 30, in which the drawing to set to take place early August.

The library is encouraging summer reading club members to make the effort to complete their program before it ends on July 30.
