Cary Cruise Night: Cars, Trucks, Customs

Other vehicles stood out during the all bikes theme night.

Cary Cruise Night has a theme every week but that doesn't stop participants from bringing their classic, hot-rod or any other vehicle deemed showcase ready.

Car enthusiast brought out a chevrolets’, fords and custom trucks.

Chris Hellyer, owner of Contagious Customs drove into the Cary Cruise Night with an all black 2008 custom Chevrolet Silverado truck. Hellyer said he uses the truck to primarily promote his business.

"I love this truck," said Samantha Barber, who's a fan of the custom work.

Bryan Golt, of Crystal Lake provided his 1927 Ford Model T for the cruise night. Golt said he got the vehicle from Connecticut and was a Fathers' Day gift.

Golt said he might do some minor modifications to the ford and add some bigger back tires.

Rory Smith, of McHenry showcased his 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport at the cruise night. It's a 35th anniversary of the camaro. Smith said it only has 18,000 miles and is one of 609 with a 6-speed manual transmission. 

There's nothing like an original. Scott Hess, owner of a 1964 Plymouth, has original paint, tires, brakes and interior. Hess has owned the car for four years and before that, his father was the owner.

Hess said his father bought the car in 1966.
