Area Under Winter Weather Advisory

Our mild temperatures will disappear as the winter storm moves in.

Northern Illinois, including is now under a winter weather advisory and snow is in our future.

According to the National Weather Service, there's a 20 percent chance of snow after midnight tonight, with increasing clouds and a low around 29.

Temperature will fall to around 25 by 5 p.m. Thursday with gusts as high as 30 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent with new snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches, according to the NWS.

A chance of snow showers continues for Friday morning.
