Whats your health IQ

This just occurred to me, "Whats my health IQ?".  Now my question to you is, "Whats YOUR health IQ?  What do you know about your health? For example, what foods cause inflammation in your joints?  What is the value of cholesterol? How do the medications you take affect you either positively or negatively?  I was talking to my financial adviser and I said to him that this subject just 'bored me to tears'.  He sat up a little straighter and looked me in the eye and said that the more I knew, the more healthy my financial outlook would be.  I had to sit back and re-evaluate my position concerning my financial education.  I hope you do the same thing, re-evaluate your position on your health.
My goal is not to fix something in my own health, my goal is to maintain  wellness and go forward from there.  This leads me to a philosophy called 'vitalism'.  This is a policy that looks toward the natural healing, the natural workings of life.  This is not a look at an isolated organ and trying to fix its function while commonly ignoring what that organ is connected to.  This is an outlook to the positive life that is already in our bodies and this is the way I look at health.  Pretend you are driving to work.  You do not stop at every store to look for directions.  You already know how to get there.  Getting to work is your objective and you do not pay attention to the distracting stops along the way.  If health and wellness is your goal, you do not pay attention to the distractions along the roadside.  Just as you know how to get to work, you know how to be and stay well. You need no one to tell you that obesity is not part of a wellness life style.  Or that smoking is bad and that your kids should not smoke.  You already know that ALL you need to know.  All you have to do is to ask yourself, "What do I need to do today to have the health I want?"
