Visions for Vacancies: Cary's Empty Blockbuster Video Building

What would you, the residents of Cary, envision for the former Blockbuster Video building located at the corner of Feinberg Drive and Route 14.

A coffee shop, lunch joint, or retail outlet?

There are many types of businesses that would benefit from the Route 14 location of the former Blockbuster Video store at the corner of Feinberg Drive and Route 14 in Cary.

The 6,500-square-foot-building is currently advertised for lease by Mid-America Real Estate Corporation.

But what would you, the residents of Cary, like to see move into the vacant building? What type of business or service has the community been missing?

Cary assistant village manager Jake Rife said there are "some interested parties" in the building, although he is not at liberty to share more information regarding those 'parties.'

"Ideally, obviously, we would like to see every vacant space in Cary filled," Rife said. "That building does have a great location, and I'm expecting that it will be filled soon."

In the meantime, Patch wants to know what YOU, the readers, would envision for the vacant space. Please share your ideas, suggestions and other thoughts in the comments section below.

One suggested from the Cary Facebook page for a Mexican Restaurant now that Burrito Grande is "no longer."
