Isn't that wonderful news! And imagine, it happened with Democratic President Barack Obama in office. And don't you love all the great roadwork that has been done throughout McHenry county done with help through Obama initiated programs. And we are working to continue addresses our sadly neglected infrastructure: http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2013/03/29/what-you-need-know-about-president-obamas-plan-improve-american-infrastructure Thank you Mr President!

You must be fooled very easily. What they don't tell you is that, labor force participation this year equals that of 1978, when only 62.8 percent of American civilians 16 or older had a job or actively looked for work, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is estimated that more than 11 million people have dropped out of the labor force under President Obama, either because they can’t find a job or lack the skills for employment. Essentially, people have just given up.

Statistics are only as good as what is put into them. They can't estimate the amount of people that are no longer in the workforce. The only input they have are the number of people that are submitting claims of unemployment. In case you haven't noticed a large number of people have lost it since December. A large portion of those that were unemployed never were eligible to claim it again for quite sometime. Some people took early retirement and more still have moved out of McHenry, either by choice or because they have lost their homes. I just can't get enough of these stupid misleading statistics and I'm thoroughly amused by those that put credence in them. Wow lower unemployment, more road work going on, food pantries don't know what to do with the excess, I suppose the price of groceries is coming down also. paleese.
