Poll: Shooting Range and Tactical Training Center Holds Grand Opening
OnTarget shooting range and training center marks its officially opening on Friday, June 22.
OnTarget Range and Tactical Training Center will host its grand opening Friday in Crystal Lake.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the new site located at 560 Beechcraft Ln. in the Terra Cotta Tech Business Center. The business center is located north of Route 176, about one-half mile west of Pingree Road.
The range also will contain a firearm and ammunitions store, according to an OnTarget press release.

OnTarget is the first and only specifically-designed indoor shooting range in McHenry County, the press release stated.
"Thanks to its one-stop shop capabilities, OnTarget has generated excitement throughout McHenry County including from gun enthusiasts, public safety officials, gun-rights groups, and firearm training organizations," the press release stated.

OnTarget features a 20,500-square-foot indoor range offering a 12-position pistol range and a 12-position 150-foot rifle range. Also located within the facilities: a large firearm and ammunition retail store and several classrooms featuring regular trainings and classes.
OnTarget's hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
