Crystal Lake Chamber President Gary Reece Resigns

Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce president Gary Reece has resigned his position.

Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce president Gary Reece has resigned his position, the chamber has announced.

After seven years serving as the chamber's leader, Reece is leaving to devote more time to his own business, Heartland Cabinets in Crystal Lake.

The chamber is now searching for a new president, and will accept applications through Feb. 7.

The chamber issued the following statement regarding Reece’s resignation:

"Dear Fellow Members,

For the past seven years, Crystal Lake Chamber President Gary Reece has overseen the daily operations at the Crystal Lake Chamber.  He has been a wonderful leader of the organization making tremendous strides in getting the Chamber in very healthy financial shape, developing a strong staff and delivering exceptional leadership to the organization.

Through some of the most difficult business and financial times seen in recent years, Gary's leadership and focus on the future has kept the Crystal Lake Chamber one of the top Chambers in the State of Illinois.   

Gary has submitted his resignation as President of the Chamber. 

His business at Heartland Cabinets has been experiencing wonderful growth, and he will be investing his time there as they go in new directions.  While today may be Gary's last day, his contributions and devotion to the Crystal Lake Chamber will live on well into the future.

The open position will be posted on the Chamber's website at clchamber.com beginning Monday, Jan. 20.  Applications will be accepted until February 7, 2014.
