Cary Could Get New Apartment Complex

The same company that is constructing a new apartment complex in Crystal Lake is now eyeing Cary for a 60-unit residential complex, which would include four two-story buildings, a club house, pool and playground, according to the Northwest Herald.

Pedcor Investments, which is based in Carmel, Ind., would like to build the workforce housing complex at First and Pearl streets in Cary. The company is currently constructing the Congress Parkway Apartment Homes in Crystal Lake, which is slated to be complete by late this summer, according to the article.

We already have too many buildings in that area already, we don't need anymore!

Low income apartments have become an investment vehicle for investors who don't have to live next to them. There is no need for this type of housing in Cary as there aren't even enough jobs for the people who already live here (Crystal Lake doesn't really need them either). It's just another way to take our tax dollars for private investors, next we'll be putting in a few charter schools for these same students....
