Three Oaks Road Closed, Alternate Route Available

A faulty track will be worked on between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Union Pacific Railroad will perform an emergency railroad repair on Three Oaks Road from 8 a.m. to 4.m.  on Wednesday, May 16. 

The at-grade crossing of Three Oaks Road (west of Route 14) will be CLOSED during this time.

Chris Clark, village adminstrator, said there is a faulty track that needs to be addressed immeditely. Clark said the village has been in contact with District 155, Distrct 26 and surrounding businesses about the temporary change.

The Cary Police Department and Public Works will be on-site to assist and direct traffic. 

Union Pacific will be repairing two (2) at-grade rails on Three Oaks Road that have experienced damaged splits.

This road closure gives Union Pacific the opportunity to replace the rails in the safest and most efficient manner possible. Following Industrial drive to route 14  is the recommended detour route. 

Detour signage will be posted prior to the start of the Three Oaks Road closure.
