Free Child Safety Seat Inspection

The Crystal Lake Police Department, McHenry County Safe Kids and McHenry County Sheriff’s Department are hosting a free car seat inspection on February 4, 2012

  About 90 percent of car seats are installed incorrectly.  The Crystal Lake Police Department has partnered with McHenry County Safe Kids and McHenry County Sheriff’s Department to host a free car seat safety inspection on February 4, 2012 from 9:00 am to noon at Pauly Toyota, 1035 South Route 31, Crystal Lake IL 60014.

 These events are designed to increase awareness and the proper use of car seats. When used correctly, car seats are one of the most significant child safety tools.

No registration is required to participate; however, parents are requested to bring the following items to the child safety seat inspection:

  • Your child/children
  • Your vehicle’s instruction manual
  • Your child’s car seat and/or booster seat with instruction manuals
  • Car seat instructions
