Lucy's Music Cafe with Elevate

June 22 @ 8:30 pm | $20 ( $25 day of )
Ages 18 + | Lucy’s Cafe

Lucy’s Cafe is excited to host ELEVATE at the final Lucy’s Music Cafe of the 2011/2012 season!

ABOUT ELEVATE: Having focused almost exclusively on rehearsal and discovering their unique sound for more than a year, Elevate is ready to bring what it is into the world. “And just what is that?” you ask. One thing is for sure, Elevate is eclectic. An evening with Elevate will likely include a heavy dose of Latin flavor combined with some funk, soul, R&B, and straight-ahead rock. Elevate isn’t ashamed to bring you into their realm of spirituality either. They know from whence their gifts emanate.

“Eclectic” doesn’t just apply to their musical style. If you begin to compare the backgrounds and musical influences of these eight people, you will be in for a lengthy conversation. From the musically mature approach of the youthful Tyler Ommen on drums, the fundamental love of sound that Nathan Staley demonstrates on percussion, the refined and experienced funk of Kelvin Levels on bass, the blues-tinged guitar and vocals that exude from Aaron Netsell, the tight R&B horn section of John and Christine Tuck, the innate and always sweet harmonies of Jody Powers, or the killer vocals and smooth keys of lead singer J; it just doesn’t get any better, or more versatile than Elevate. This gathering of varied musical backgrounds makes for one of the most exciting musical experiences you are likely to have in this lifetime.
