Art in Action- The Arts Come Alive

The arts come alive next Friday at the March 2nd First Friday at the Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake, IL. Do you ever dream of pursing art as a career? Do you think about taking an art class as a hobby? Do your children seem creative but don’t have an outlet to create outside of school? Come to Art in Action to meet artists, musicians and learn about all Lakeside has to offer in arts and music education. The galleries will feature four resident partner artists of Lakeside Legacy Foundation and instructors of the Creative Artistry School of Fine Arts. The public is welcome at Art in Action on Friday, March 2nd from 5pm-8pm. Please come and enjoy this family friendly evening of art, live performances and art demonstration hosted by Lakeside Legacy Foundation at the Historic Dole Mansion. The evening includes appetizers, cash bar and art sales, demos and information on classes and lessons. The exhibits are open for viewing Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm.

The walls will be adorned with works in acrylic, water color, graphic illustrations, and jewelry. Some of the gallery space will also be dedicated to the works of emerging artists and students from Amber Larsen’s Creative Artistry School of Fine Arts. Not only can you view the beautiful artwork, but you can mingle with the professional artists, watch live arts demonstrations and learn about group and private lessons. Some participating artists will offer discounts on classes if you register at the event. The evening includes a 7pm live performance by Cassandra Vohs-Demann is the owner of A Place to Shine Music.
