Cary Plans Seasonal Fun

Fall, winter activities kick off with Family Fun Fest.

The Cary Park District is planning a variety of upcoming activities for residents.

Registration has started for the Halloween Extravaganza, which will be a day  costumes, games, prizes and crafts on Oct. 23.

The community is also beginning planning for its annual Holiday Walk and Tree Lighting, which will take place Dec. 11 at the Jaycee Park, and Santa's Workshop, where participants ride the Metra to Crystal Lake to Duke's Ale or to Palatine to Durty Nellie's.

Activities are planned for both residents and non-residents of Cary.

The park district kicked off its fall and winter line-up with Family Fun Fest in September. The event took place at Lions Park and included a craft table, a pumpkin patch, a balloon artist, a petting zoo, pony rides and a 10-minute hayride around the park.
