Area Bands Battle it Out

Bands battle it out for a competition on Saturday at the Cary Park District.

Battle of the Bands featured five bands this year with the winner moving on to the regional competition.

Revanue, Rusted, Symptoms of Romance, U & What Army, and "With Truth & Disgrace" were the five bands that competed  for the top prize. 

First place winners, Revanue will represent the Cary in the regional Battle of Bands, July 30 at the Founders Day Festival. They also won a recording session donated by  Wavesound recording studio in Fox River Grove.

Both Revanue and second place winner, U & What Army will be playing in the first concert of the Park District’s Summer Concert Series scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9 at Lion’s Park bandshell.

This year’s sponsors of the Battle were: the Cary Park District, the Cary Area Public Library and Dr. Woods Guitar Emporium.
