Lauren Brown, of Cary, Dies from Ovarian Cancer; Worked for Barrington Chamber

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, with visitation from 3 to 9 p.m. at  Davenport Family Funeral Home in Crystal Lake.

 

Lauren Brown, 29, of Cary, Illinois, died as a result of ovarian cancer on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Rush Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. 

Her parents Glen and Darla were overjoyed the day their beautiful daughter Lauren was born, Nov. 17, 1983. She was also adored by her big brother Eric.

Lauren attended Cary-Grove High School where she was very active with soccer and social activities.  After graduating in 2002 she dominated public relations at Arizona State University in Tempe.

Lauren returned to Cary after graduating with a bachelors degree in 2007, and began her career working for the Chamber of Commerce in Barrington.

To her many friends and family, Lauren will always be remembered for her sweet disposition and uplifting personality.  Her spirited quick sense of humor and smile kept her and those around her laughing and will never be forgotten.

Lauren is survived by her parents Glen and Darla of Cary; her brother Eric of Phoenix, Arizona; grandmothers and extended family.

Lauren is preceded in death by her grandfathers and her uncle, Carl.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at 419 E. Route 176, Crystal Lake, with visitation from 3 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers Lauren’s family has requested that you bring photos and donations that will be made to cancer research.
