Upcoming Programs Will Help Your Future

The Cary library hold many programs throughout the year and they are gearing up to help your career.

The Cary Area Library is ending the year and beginning anew with programs that will better your future.

Don't Give Up: Job Searching Through the Holidays (Wednesday, December 1, 7-8pm) - Have you included the holiday season into your job search plan? Jim Pacholski will challenge you to not take a holiday from your future.

Resumes & Cover Letters (Thursday, December 2, 7-8pm) - Jim Pacholski is back to discuss various types of resumes, cover letters and the all important thank you notes.

Interviewing Techniques (Thursday, January 6, 7-8:30pm) - What questions should you ask, how should you dress and what questions will they ask? Jim Pacholski will answer your questions and more as he helps you prepare for job interviews.

Job Search Help (Wednesday, January 12, 7-8:30pm) - Learn about resources at the library that can aid you in your job search. You will have a chance to review books, databases including Reference USA and Job Accelerator, as well as Learning Express review of Microsoft applications.

Practice ACT and Test Strategies (Saturdays, February 12, 10am-2pm & February 19, 1-2pm) - For teens in grades 9 to 12; limited to 30. Adrienne Brazil from Kaplan Test Prep and Admission, presents this two-part workshop. In the first session you will take a full-length ACT exam. Return in a week to get a comprehensive analysis of your performance. Learn how to improve your scores and be given a study plan for success. Parents are encouraged to attend on February 19.
