Trains Delayed on Metra NW Line Following Accident in Des Plaines

Metra trains on the Union Pacific Northwest lines are back up and running after a train collided with a vehicle Monday afternoon in Des Plaines, according to CBS2 Chicago. 

The vehicle was struck by a Metra train at River Road in Des Plaines about 4 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune. The train was arriving at the Des Plaines station at the time of the crash, according to the article. 

While inbound and outbound trains were back on the move, they were operating approximately 15 to 65 minutes behind schedule, according to the Metra website.
