This Week's Whiz Kid: Kelly Pringle

KELLY PRINGLE:

• Age: 16
• School: Junior at Prairie Ridge High School
• Accomplishment: Excelling in school while giving back to the community
• Key to Awesomeness: This year, Kelly has played forward for the Crystal Lake Force Travel Soccer U17 team, which is presently ranked eighth in the state of Illinois, and helped her team win multiple tournaments over the last several years, including Grove United Champions tournament this past fall. She is currently a cheerleader for the high school squad which placed third at the state competition last weekend, their highest ranking in school history. She looks forward to starting the high school soccer season where last season her JV team went undefeated, won the conference title and helped the team to set a school record for number of goals scored. She has done this while being on the school's Honor Roll system, carrying a 3.34 grade-point average. She also gives back to the community by spending some of her off time as a volunteer at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
