NFL Players Association Hosting Charity Event in McHenry

Former NFL players help raise money for scholarship programs and grants for Chicagoland youth academic and athletic programs.

The NFL Players Association of Chicago is hosting a charity event from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday in McHenry.

The March 27th event will be held at Nicolino's Trackside and Sports Bar, 621 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry.

The fundraiser benefits the associations' not-for-profit organization, the Retired Professional Football Players of Chicago, which supports Chicagoland youth programs - academically and athletically.

Admission is free; however, there is a $25 fee for photos and autographs. All proceeds from the night help high school student athletes reach their educational and athletic goals via The Retired Professional Football Players of Chicago Scholarship Program, the release stated.

"It's so fulfilling to give back to the community that supported and cheered for us," said Marques Sullivan, former NFL player and president of the NFL Players Association, Former Players Chicago Chapter.

"We're all a part of the human community, and we all must do our part to ensure that our community has the proper resources and support to succeed."
