Huntley Ranked No. 7 Among Best Illinois Towns for Young Families

The consumer advocacy website NerdWallet has ranked Huntley seventh on its list of best Illinois communities for young families

The rankings, were based on the following factors: public school rating, average home value, ongoing cost of home ownership, average income and economic growth. 

NerdWallet's assessment of Huntley notes that the "despite massive growth — the town has quadrupled in size in less than a decade — Huntley’s schools have managed to keep up." 

"Parents report that the elementary schools maintain a ratio of 20 students per teacher. The high school continues to do well, too," according to NerdWallet.
 
Other towns on the list include Edwardsville, O'Fallon, Charleston, New Lenox, Geneva, Grayslake, Downers Grove, Elmhurst and Orland Park.
