Why go: Miss football? Spend a Sunday with Chicago Bear’s Head Coach Lovie Smith and his wife at the 7th Annual Care to Cure Brunch to benefit the American Diabetes Association. No on-field action, but there will be food, music, a silent auction and a raffle.

Why go: The resident artists of Lakeside Legacy Arts Park will provide live demonstrations and display their work for a public viewing. Live music, wine and snacks round out the evening.

Why go: Wrangle up some friends and head on down to this annual Western Charity Auction benefit. Tickets include dinner, the auction and a cash raffle drawing, plus 100% of the net proceeds are donated to area charities.
