St. Mary's Catholic Parish Presents "For Greater Glory"

This special screening is slated for Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 7PM, at the Woodstock Theatre, 209 Main Street. There will be a brief introduction of the film by a member of the parish whose ancestor fought in the Cristero War. All are encouraged to participate in a Q&A discussion following the film at a nearby local venue. Movie admission will be $6.50 per person. Tickets are available online at www.classiccinemas.com or at the theatre box office.

“For Greater Glory” (2012) tells the long-hidden, true story of the 1920s Cristero War - the daring people's revolt against the atheist Mexican government that rocked 20th Century North America.  The rebellion was set off by the persecution of Catholics and a ban on their public religious practices. The film asks the question, what price would you pay for freedom? In the movie, an impassioned group of men and women each make the decision to risk it all for family, faith and the very future of their country. Starring: Andy Garcia, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eva Longoria and Peter O-Toole
