Teen Catches Monster Muskie from Crystal Lake

Recent Crystal Lake South graduate Austin Wiggerman could have stayed in bed Wednesday morning.

School ended for District 155 seniors more than one week ago, and it would have been so easy for the Lake in the Hills teen to sleep late. But the avid young fisherman headed out to Crystal Lake instead. 

Using his secret lure - he won't divulge what type - Wiggerman cast into the waters near West Beach. According to his mother, Dorene, the teen has been working on catching the fish for some time.

Wiggerman's efforts paid off as he reeled in a 41-inch-long Muskie.
