Centegra Urges Women to Get a Mammogram
Hospital gives women three good reasons to get screening.
Centegra Health System is offering women who get a mammogram at one of its locations a lavender and vanilla lotion gift, a free one-day pass to Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center and a chance to win a Pandora bracelet from Dalzell & Co. Jewelers in Crystal Lake during the month of February.
The hospital continues offering its Mammo Mondays, a special event conducted at select sites on Mondays throughout the month in which women are encouraged to ban together as mothers and daughters, sisters and friends to take the stress out of their annual screening.
Women can enjoy time together while receiving screening mammograms, bone density screenings, free expert bra fittings and light snacks.

The following are the Mammo Monday dates in February:
* 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at Centegra Hospital – McHenry

* 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at Centegra Hospital – Woodstock

The American Cancer Society recommends annual mammograms for women 40 years old and older to maintain breast health and as a proven way to detect breast cancer in its earliest stage. Quick 30-minute appointments are easy to schedule and are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome at Centegra Health Center – Huntley and Centegra Gavers Breast Center – Crystal Lake. Patients should bring a physician order to the appointment.
