Cary-Grove AMVETS to Retire American Flags

Drop-off any old or worn American flags May 27 at the Windridge Memorial Park & Nature Sanctuary.

The Cary-Grove AMVETS Pearl Harbor Memorial Post 245 will take and properly retire old and worn American flags for local residents May 27.

Drop off your old flags to the AMVETS at Windridge Memorial Park & Nature Sanctuary, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge road in Cary.

The AMVETS Department of Illinois is an organization of Veterans that have served Veterans needs since 1945.

 Illinois AMVETS has been at the forefront of community and Veteran’s services for the State of Illinois. Cary AMVETS host an annual Veterans’ Picnic each summer in Lions Park in Fox River Grove.

The picnic treats hundreds of Veterans from throughout the area and Northern Illinois to a day in the park filled with barbeque, games and camaraderie.
