Area Food Pantries Could Use Donations
Here's a list of food pantries that are looking to help out the hungry this holiday season.
With the holidays approaching it's important to remember all of those that need a helping hand.
Many mothers and fathers desperately need help feeding their families, the homeless need to survive and some are just down on their luck and could use some help until things turn around.
Here's a list of area food pantries looking to stock up for the upcoming season:

Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry, 600 E. Oak St., Lake in the Hills; (847) 658-5130. Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to noon, first and third Saturday 9:30 a.m. to noon.
Cary-Grove Food Pantry, 8901 S. Cary-Algonquin Road, St. Barnabas Lutheran Church, Cary; (847) 516-3602 or www.cgfoodpantry.org. Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 4 to 6 p.m., first and third Saturday 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Huntley Food Pantry, 10547 Faith Way Faith Community Church. Hours: Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m.
Harvard Food Pantry, 1200 N. Division St., Harvard; (815) 943-6844. Drop off hours are all week tuntil 1 p.m.
Hebron Food Pantry, 10317 Freeman Road, Hebron; (815) 648-2320. Hours: first and third Thursday of the month from 2 to 4 p.m.
