Arbor Day, Dancing and Spaghetti!

Weekend festivals include a Music and Art Festival and an Antique and Garden Show.

Where/When: , 600 Harvest Gate, Lake in the Hills. Friday, April 29, at 1 p.m.     

Why go: The occasion will be marked with a ceremonial tree planting, readings from students at Lincoln Prairie Elementary School and refreshments.

Where/When: , Zimmerman Room, 505 N. Northwest Highway, Barrington. Friday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why go: Socialize with other royal-wedding enthusiasts, or just stop by to see what all the hype is about.  

Pricing: Free.     

 



Where/When: , REC Center, 12015 Mill St., Huntley. Friday, April 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.    

Why go: Start the evening off with a short lesson in swing dancing, then dance the night away with your newfound skills to the Ocean Blue Big Band.  

Pricing: $5 at the door.  

 



Where/When: , 200 Applebee St., Barrington. April 28 – May 1; hours are Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday noon to 4 p.m.

Why go: Browse local and regional antique dealer’s wares including patio and other furniture, jewelry, pottery, accessories and more. 

Pricing: Free admission.   

 



Where/When: , REC Center, 12015 Mill St., Huntley. Saturday, April 30, at 6 p.m. 

Why go: The 1st ever Music and Art Festival features performances by Cassandra and the Gravel Road Band and Zak Greer and an art market selling jewelry and more.   

Pricing: $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets available for purchase at the Huntley Park District Office or at the door.  

 



Where/When: , 1320 S. Main St., Algonquin. Sunday, May 1 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Why go: $10 gets you all you can eat spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and dessert, plus a chance at door prizes, and you get the added bonus of helping out a local resident in need. All proceeds will benefit Algonquin resident Drew Slager, who suffers from Iga Nephropathy and needs help with medical bills.
