Help, Car Accident at Route 14 and 31

From a Patch reader, glow31497 , January 10, 2014 at 11:07 AM

"Did you happen to see a car accident yesterday afternoon near Routes 14 and 31 in Crystal Lake?

I am trying to find out any details of the car/ driver that rear ended me yesterday Thursday January 9 around 3:40 p.m. on Route 14 westbound near route 31.

I asked the girl who hit me to follow me off the main road to somewhere safe as I have kids in the car. She said Ok and then drove away.

Please email me if anyone saw the accident and can help find the girl who hit me. I was in a silver Chevy Traverse (picture attached), and she was driving what I think was a compact SUV, darker color.

Thanks! glow31497@gmail.com"

A friend of mine suggested I carry my Smartphone with Camera for just such instances. A quick shot of the offenders license plate would do wonders! Wish you the best!

I'm so mad at myself that I didn't take a quick picture, but honestly I was so worried about my kids, so getting off that busy road to safety was all I could think about and making sure they were ok. Thanks for your support!! I've learned my lesson.....

That's such a bummer. I hope the person who did that comes forward, for your sake.

Thanks again Stephanie for posting this, I appreciate your help. Many friends and strangers saw this and posted on Facebook and shared it with everyone they know, so I'm still trying to be hopeful!
