Free Showing of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” at North Riverside Mall Theatre

The North Riverside Park Mall and the North Riverside Theatre will present a free showing of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” as their Back to School Show on Saturday, August 9, at 10:30 AM. The North Riverside Park Mall will host special games and activities in the mall before the movie from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

 Diary of a Wimpy Kid (PG/94 min.) is a 2010 children’s comedy film based on Jeff Kinney’s book of the same name. The film stars Zachary Gordon and Devon Bostick. It is the first film in the “Diary of Wimpy Kid” series. The movie chronicles the adventures of wise-cracking pre-teen Greg Heffley, who must somehow survive the scariest time of anyone's life: middle school.
