Fireworks in Fox River Grove Tonight

Fox River Grove will hold its annual Fireworks Show and Festivities on Saturday, July 6, with fireworks being ignited from Picnic Grove Park.

In order to ensure safe travel for both pedestrians and vehicles, there will be no parking on any of the roads within the Picnic Grove subdivision.  Parking restrictions will also apply to several roads near Picnic Grove Park, according to the Fox River Grove village website.

The Police Department will block traffic at the completion of the fireworks on Birch from the 600 block to Harding to allow for safe exit of pedestrians.

Picnic Grove Park will be closed until 5:30 P.M. on the day of the event.  Spectators will be allowed into the park between 5:30 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.
No entry after 9 p.m.  Once the fireworks are about to begin, no one will be allowed to enter through the gates. - Safety first.

The spectacular evening starts at 6 p.m. with food, drink and music.  Marty Monti and Rick Cornwall will provide music. The Fox River Grove Lions and Lioness Clubs, the Cary-Grove Jaycees and Cary-Grove Masons will sell food and drinks. 

No carry-ins of food or drink are allowed other than a non-alcoholic drink in one hand.  No pets are allowed. There will be no entry after 9 p.m., according to the Fox River Grove village website.

There is no parking in or near the park.  Free shuttles will be available. 

Route 1:  Victoria Woods/Hunter's Farm/Welch's Subdivision:  Victoria Drive/Tiffany Lane, Camilla Place/Jasmine Way, Victoria Drive/Jasmine Way, Bridle Path Lane/Saddle Lane, Bridle Path Lane, Morgan Lane, Saddle Lane/Morgan Lane. 

Route 2: Foxmoor:  Old Hunt Road/Plum Tree Rd, Old Hunt Road/Lexington Road, Foxmoor Road/Yorkshire, Algonquin Road Fire Station:

Route 3:  Algonquin Road School, Lion's Park, Commuter/METRA lot.
