Crystal Lake South Hockey Club Hosts Alumni Game

Crystal Lake South Hockey tradition gives former players and teammates an opportunity reconnect and hit the ice for a scrimmage game.

More than 30 former Crystal Lake South Hockey Club players participated in the Gators Alumni Game this past Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Leafs Ice Centre in West Dundee.

The annual game gives former players and teammates an opportunity to reconnect during the holidays as well as hit the ice for a friendly, but competitive, scrimmage game.

Crystal Lake South Hockey Club field its first teams in 1988-1989 when CL South High School first opened at 1200 S. McHenry Ave. in Crystal Lake.

The club has two teams this year- a varsity and junior varsity - with 30 skaters.

Both teams compete in the Illinois High School Hockey League - North Central Division.
