WOW! Offered Through Girl Scouts and Sage YMCA
Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois is partnering with Sage YMCA to offer a Journey Camp to all girls in second and third grade. During the camp, girls will learn about water celebration and conservation in WOW! Wonders of Water or their sisters around the world in World of Girls. The camp will be July 8–12, and July 15–19, 12:30–2:30 p.m., at Sage YMCA, 701 Manor Rd., in Crystal Lake. Girls should bring their own refillable water bottle.
Camp registration is $82 per registered Girl Scout; $94 per non-registered Girl Scout. The additional $12 registers girls as Girl Scouts and allows them to participate in this program and others throughout the summer! Families should visit www.sageymca.org to download enrollment forms, medical health forms, and releases which must be submitted at registration.

This camp is partially funded through the McHenry County Community Foundation. Funding supplies girls with Girl Scout Journey books, supplies, and financial assistance for participants.

Sage YMCA is one of GSNI’s Preferred Partners. GSNI often works with outside organizations to provide programming to local girls. When an organization chooses to partner with GSNI, they have visibility to over 23,000 girls and adults and thousands more parents across 16 counties in northern Illinois aligning with the largest organization for girls in the world!
There are three ways businesses and organizations partner with GSNI:
- Preferred Partner—Programming is associated specifically to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and offered only to Girl Scouts.
- Community Service Opportunities—Projects or actions that benefit the community, giving girls a greater understanding of their local and global communities. Through community service, girls begin to understand issues in their community and work together toward improvement.
