Today: National Night Out Celebrations in Crystal Lake and Cary

Get to know your local police officers at National Night Out events in Crystal Lake and Cary.

Happy Tuesday Crystal Lake and Cary!

It's a busy day in both towns today. Both Crystal Lake and Cary hold regularly scheduled city council and village board meetings.

The Crystal Lake City Council will re-visit the controversial issue of installing a barrier median on Crystal Lake Avenue (by the Metra railroad tracks) that will prohibit left turns from Crystal Lake Avenue onto East Street and ban left turns from East Street onto Crystal Lake Avenue.

Both communities will participate in the 28th Annual National Night Out, a nationwide program that aims to bring police and residents together to form a partnership and fight for safer neighborhoods. Some details on the events are listed below.

Enjoy the slight warmup. It should feel a bit more like summer!

Today's Forecast: 84 Degrees, Partly Cloudy
Tonight: 67 Degres, Chance of isolated thunderstorms

Have a great day- Stephanie Price, Editor, Crystal Lake-Cary Patch
