Why is it when the Republicans ran everything no one was worried about the debt. Bush got everyRead More debt limit increase he asked for without any strings attached to it. Bush put 2 wars on the credit card AFTER cutting taxes for his rich buddies.

Hultgren has a core distrust for the public school system. His children were home schooled.Read More Demonstrating that we common folks and are kids aren't good enought for Randy.

Those convicted of Human Trafficking should lose there citizenship forever if they are a USRead More Citizen--as well as pay for their crime. It is taking the freedom rights away from a human being----and this country was founded on freedom as a human right. Every year the law makers also create laws restricting our freedoms and these too are walking the line.
Jeff February 6, 2014 at 10:35 pm
that's what happen when you fail to enforce to securing the boarders. A lot of women are smuggledRead More across the boarder only to pay with their bodies for freedom if it ever happens. Don't sugarcoat the truth "fastest growing criminal industry i" BS drugs are !!!!!!!!!! secure the boarders!

Randy Hultgren can't be too concerned about women...he voted against the Violence Against WomenRead More Act...that became law without his vote.

Instead of endlessly trying to chink away at ACA, perhaps our legislators should consider a Safe andRead More Secure bill to protect our children from being shot on school grounds. I'd be willing to bet great solutions could be crafted if only these same lawmakers weren't NRA puppets and beneficiaries.

This is good legislation. If and when your personal information is compromised, the government mustRead More notify you within 2 business days, just like any other organization has to do. Are opponents afraid that when people are being constantly notified of security breaches they'll realize what a poorly conceived and hostility thrown-together the ACA really is?
Jim Ryan January 14, 2014 at 06:28 pm
This could be good legislation if it was meant to be an across the board piece of work and not aimedRead More at one particular website/law. Other organizations only report data breaches when they are caught by outside organizations, primarily news outlets. Otherwise, they keep a very tight lid on hack notifications. The 2 business day rule only applies when they're called out. So, if the gov't works under the same rules, most people won't be constantly notified. ACA was well conceived (most of it was written by the insurance industry) - as a retired data systems engineer, I agree that the website was probably hastily thrown together. Beware the spell-checker.

so, one more attack on healthcare. It is true that veterans can go to the VA for their healthcare,Read More but what about their family members. Do you suppose the Vets don't care about their spouses and children? I think they do care about their families and Hultgren should be ashamed of himself. He will use any excuse to attack and fear monger about the healthcare act.

I'm guessing it is relevant because the homes schoolers are not prey to the indoctrination ofRead More liberal education. Secret police at it again.

One of the near-term spending cuts, however, is to reduce pension benefits for current veterans andRead More active-duty military. Pension benefits to veterans younger than 62. The budget deal would reduce the yearly cost-of-living adjustments for these military veterans. It would even impact those veterans who were forced to retire due to injuries sustained in the service of our country.

Hultgren is now part of the establishment in DC. It must make sense to him to add to the deficit inRead More large number now, and get a small fraction later in ten years maybe. Time for some realness. Maybe Ted Cruz should speak with him.

No Randy, what puts Americans at risk are self-serving, do nothing, obstructionist, self-interestedRead More Republican congressman who release poorly written letters that play on peoples' fears in an attempt to further their own worthless political careers.
