Everyday Environmental Tips - Brought to you by the Environmental Defender's of McHenry County

This week's Tip -

"Care for the Environment by Sharing a Good Book"

A good book is worth sharing.  Instead of buying new, consider clearing out your shelves and making way for future reading at a fraction of the cost.   A quick internet search will reveal local spots and events that trade and sell.  By sharing books, you'll recycle a product, help reduce the need for precious landfill space and encourage reuse.  The next time you feel a book shopping spree come on consider a local book share store, your public library, and the Environmental Defender's Green Spot at 110 S. Johnson in Woodstock for year round shopping. This week check out our Annual Book Sale at the Algonquin Township Road Garage on Route 14 in Cary Sept. 22 to Sept. 29th. (no sale on Sundsay, 9/23) Go to www.mcdef.org for more info.  Happy Reading.

Make sure your books on the enviornment are up to date. One would not want to make the mistake of reading about global cooling, or the one on DDT banning, oops millions of Africans died over that one. Throw the old books out.
