If the first words out of your mouth every morning are, “I’ll have a large coffee”—or if you can’t even speak until after you’ve had your java fix—there's a national holiday created especially for you.
America will put staunch tea drinkers to shame on National Coffee Day on Sept. 29, when coffee fiends can rejoice and celebrate their beloved coffee bean with free brew from national chains.
Many local cafes and businesses are participating in the national celebration.
Free Coffee Today (Friday Morning) at 7-11 Stores
Locally, "CofFREE Day" will be held at 7-Eleven stores, where anyone can pick up a free large coffee from 6 to 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28. While you're there, you can select a Barack Obama or Mitt Romney coffee cup to cast your coffee vote for the upcoming U.S. presidential election. According to 7-11, coffee patrons have helped picked the winning presidential candidate in the previous two elections.
