What's Your New Year's Resolution?

The coming new year seems like the time to set those goals, and turn over a new leaf in your life. What changes, if any, do have a goal to make in 2013?

It may be cliche, but the approaching brand new year seems like an opportune time to make changes in your life you may have been wanting to make for a while.

Do you have a New Year's resolution or two? Is it one of the resolutions in our poll?

According to USA.gov, there are a number of resolutions for the new year that remain popular.

They include losing weight and getting fit, managing stress and debt better, getting a better education or job, becoming more 'green' and volunteering to help others more.

And experts say there are ways, whatever your resolutions are, to make sure they actually come true.

Believing you can accomplish the goals you set are key, according to TIME Health and Family, in addition to making sure you are realistic in what you would like to adjust in your life.

Preparing your mind ahead of time to implement those changes, and ensuring they begin on the first day of the new year also are ways to find success, according to the article

Even if you end up eating that piece of pie, or failing to get that workout in by January 2, another strategy is to revert right back to your goals if you fall off the proverbial wagon, and keep trying.

Finding support in friends or others with resolutions similar to yours is yet another way to make sure those dreams for 2013 really can become a reality.

Do you have an out-of-the-ordinary New Year's resolution? Share yours, and how you plan to make it stick, in the comment section below!

Melanie! I was just thinking of you a couple days ago when I saw a picture of your brother. I moved back to HP after being on the coasts and all over the world for many years--would be great to see you and I shall quote my FB past las night: "Believe that life can change, that you're not stuck in vain
We're not the same, we're different tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight
...the embers never fade in your city by the lake
The place where you were born
Believe...
Tonight...
The impossible is possible tonight" Smashing Pumpkins
May all your resolutions come true
(And maybe we should get together at Denny's again today)

We may never understand, if love just happens or it's planned. We must believe our spirits know somehow, baby we can't stop the falling we feel now. Ah emotions overflow now, this heartbeat wants control. Lead me to love'

I'm deep in the motiveless of you. We share the secrets found in lovers eyes. Light the way for me. Without your touch I can't see. I'm deep in that miracle. Light the way so I can see. I need you. Bring me the Miracle. Touch me. Love me. Lead me to love.

On New Years Day last year I started a fundraiser to bring clean water to those without in the world. After 10 months we raised over $6000 and had two wells constructed bringing uncontaminated water to over 2000 people in two communities in Africa.
This year we are continuing our fundraising through our customer base by offering discounts to our customers in exchange for a charitable donation to our second fundraiser.
